Transparency in Healthcare…Posting of Procedure Pricing

In an article posted on www.oanow.com by reporter Timothy Noordermeer, the recent federal law enacted requiring hospitals to publicly display a list of procedural prices is discussed. Noordermeer’s article explains the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) logic associated with pricing transparency, and references CMS’ plans to provide a “Procedure Price Lookup” tool for the public to use in shopping for medical services.
