As she nears death at age 92, former first lady Barbara Bush\u2019s announcement that she is seeking \u201ccomfort care\u201d is shining a light \u2014 and stirring debate \u2014 on what it means to stop trying to fight terminal illness.<\/p>\n

Bush, the wife of former President George H.W. Bush, has been suffering from congestive heart failure and\u00a0chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, according to family spokesman Jim McGrath.<\/p>\n
