The same strategy that some animals use to avoid being attacked \u2014 roll into a ball and keep your vulnerable bits beyond predators\u2019 reach \u2014 turns out to let genes avoid being sliced up by the genome-editing molecules of CRISPR, scientists\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.pnas.org\/content\/early\/2018\/09\/04\/1810062115\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reported<\/a>\u00a0on Monday.
