California Gov. Gavin Newsom says he\u2019s done waiting for the federal government to curtail the rising cost of prescription drugs.<\/p>\n

Newsom has his own plan to ease that financial burden \u2014 one he hopes other states can join or replicate.<\/p>\n

The Democratic governor said he intends to use California\u2019s might as the world\u2019s fifth-largest economy to demand lower prices directly from drug companies for millions of Medicaid enrollees, state government workers and, eventually, Californians in the private sector.\u00a0 Continue reading article here…<\/a><\/p>\n
