They were considered \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jabfm.org\/content\/jabfp\/29\/3\/394.full.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">routinely needed and low in cost<\/a>\u201d and most Americans\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/journals.lww.com\/thehearingjournal\/fulltext\/2017\/02000\/Policy___Politics___Why_Hearing_Aids_Are_Not.1.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">didn\u2019t live long enough<\/a>\u00a0to actually need them.
