However, if you sign up late for Part B, you\u2019ll face a life-long penalty that adds 10 percent to your monthly premiums for it for life.\u00a0 But what if you are still working during that time and have creditable health insurance through your employer or you\u2019re married to someone with a health plan; what do you do?\u00a0 The attached article advises of a solution; it\u2019s called a special enrollment period and how you can sign up for Part B at a later time without risking a penalty in the process.
