It may be shocking, but it should not be surprising. Howard Gleckman, senior fellow at the Urban Institute and senior contributor for Forbes, writes in his column: \u201cWhy are we so shocked by COVID-19 nursing home deaths? We have been failing our frail older adults for decades,\u201d COVID-19 has exposed and amplified our profoundly flawed system of care for the older adults.
