But in a number of states, it\u2019s not, so far, having widespread success.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s the main takeaway from <a href=\"http:\/\/content.healthaffairs.org\/content\/35\/1\/62.abstract\" target=\"_blank\">a study<\/a>\u00a0published Tuesday in the journal Health Affairs. The law says all state Medicaid programs have to cover tobacco cessation drugs \u2014 meaning they have to pay for things like nicotine patches, Chantix, nicotine gum or Wellbutrin, when patients are using them to try to quit smoking.
