Currently employer-provided coverage escapes income and payroll taxes \u2013 a generous subsidy \u2013 but it is a highly regressive form of subsidy. \u00a0Unlike the subsidies in the workplace, Obamacare subsidies lower buyers\u2019 premiums and in some cases their out-of-pocket costs, this system is highly progressive.
