Medicare does not cover medical services you receive outside the U.S and its territories, except in specific circumstances; however, depending on your situation and how long you plan to remain abroad, it may make sense to be on Medicare. According to Danielle Roberts, co-founder of Boomer Benefits, \u201cit\u2019s critical that beneficiaries living abroad know the rules on this; otherwise, you could return to the U.S. and find yourself waiting on coverage to kick in and face late-enrollment penalties.
