{"id":18934,"date":"2021-10-08T09:27:18","date_gmt":"2021-10-08T13:27:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/medicarereport.org\/?p=18934"},"modified":"2021-10-08T09:27:18","modified_gmt":"2021-10-08T13:27:18","slug":"covid-immunity-through-infection-or-vaccination-are-they-equal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/medicarereport.org\/?p=18934","title":{"rendered":"Covid Immunity Through Infection or Vaccination: Are They Equal?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>(By Arthur Allen for Kaiser Health News)<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Aaron Kheriaty, a University of California-Irvine psychiatry professor, felt he didn\u2019t need to be vaccinated against covid because he\u2019d fallen ill with the disease in July 2020.<\/p>\n<p>So, in August, he sued to stop the university system\u2019s vaccination mandate, saying \u201cnatural\u201d immunity had given him and millions of others better protection than any vaccine could.<\/p>\n<p>A judge on Sept. 28 dismissed Kheriaty\u2019s request for an injunction against the university over its mandate, which took effect Sept. 3.
