But the week before the ceremony \u2014 on a Friday evening \u2014 Comfort said he found himself in \u201cexcruciating pain.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;I tried to gut it out for three hours because of the insurance situation,\u201d said Comfort, a retired teacher and American citizen who has Swiss insurance.
