{"id":3294,"date":"2016-06-22T11:12:28","date_gmt":"2016-06-22T15:12:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/medicarereport.org\/?p=3294"},"modified":"2016-06-22T11:12:28","modified_gmt":"2016-06-22T15:12:28","slug":"boeing-contracts-directly-with-california-health-system-for-employee-benefits","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/medicarereport.org\/?p=3294","title":{"rendered":"Boeing Contracts Directly With California Health System For Employee Benefits"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>(By Chad Terhune for Kaiser Health News)<\/p>\n<p>In another sign of growing frustration with rising health costs, aerospace giant Boeing Co. has agreed to contract directly for employee benefits with a major health system in Southern California, bypassing the conventional insurance model.<\/p>\n<p>The move, announced Tuesday, marks the expansion of Boeing\u2019s direct-contracting approach, which it has already implemented in recent years in Seattle, St. Louis and Charleston, S.C.<\/p>\n<p>Other large employers are also pursuing this idea in regions where they have big concentrations of workers.
