Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) <a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/ron-johnson-threatens-to-delay-fda-bill-unless-it-boosts-access-to-experimental-drugs\/article\/2628363\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">has threatened to hold up the bill<\/a><sup class=\"footnote\">1<\/sup> unless the Senate adds a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.statnews.com\/2017\/03\/23\/right-to-try\/\">\u201cright-to-try\u201d<\/a><sup class=\"footnote\">2<\/sup> amendment to the House version currently on the Senate calendar.
