But in its first-ever\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/circ.ahajournals.org\/lookup\/doi\/10.1161\/CIR.0000000000000556\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">statement<\/a>\u00a0on the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/cancer\/dcpc\/data\/women.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">most common<\/a>\u00a0female cancer, the American Heart Association warned\u00a0on Thursday that breast cancer survivors, especially those treated with common chemotherapies, are at increased risk for heart failure and other cardiovascular diseases.
