 A costly mistake for many Medicare Advantage enrollees

A recent study by a leading healthcare system found that people on Medicare Advantage plans are not utilizing dental and vision supplemental benefits provided by their health plan.  One of the major draws for a Medicare recipient to choose a Medicare Advantage plan is the supplemental benefits, but according to recent research from Mass General Brigham, “ Medicare Advantage enrollees have no better access to extra services than people in traditional Medicare, and that much of the comes out of their own pockets.” Gillian Manning’s article for Money Talks News explains why many Medicare Advantage enrollees are not using these supplemental benefits.
