Making sense of all those Medicare marketing materials
A recent report from the Senate Finance Committee found the number of complaints about deceptive marketing aimed at enticing Medicare-eligible consumers doubled between 2020 and 2021. In the fall of 2022, Congress introduced a bill prohibiting private insurance companies from using the term “Medicare” in plan names or marketing materials.
