Cancer patients win lawsuit against Aetna over denied treatment

A Florida judge ruled against Aetna in a proposed class-action lawsuit over the payer’s denied coverage of proton beam radiation therapy for cancer patients.
The two plaintiffs — one with breast cancer and one with prostate cancer — received recommendations from their oncologists to use proton beam radiation therapy to treat their cancer without damaging surrounding healthy tissue. Continue reading here…
