Medicare’s Extra Help

“Extra Help” is a Medicare program to help people with limited income and resources pay Medicare drug coverage (Part D) premiums, deductibles, coinsurance, and other costs. According to the Social Security Administration, the Part D Low-Income Subsidy, aka Extra Help, is worth about $5,300 a year, with many people who qualify unaware of the program.
