U.S. is facing a growing national shortage of EpiPens and other epinephrine auto-injectors

According to a survey by FARE (advocacy group Food Allergy Research & Education), it found more than 400 people in 45 states are having trouble filling or refilling their prescriptions of EpiPens and other allergic reaction treatments called epinephrine auto-injectors. Early this month, the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP), said that there was a shortage of Mylan’s EpiPen and the authorized generic version “on intermittent back order with regular releases.” Read article here…
