Medicare’s Part D “doughnut hole” closing ahead of schedule
The Bipartisan Budget Act of 2018 accelerates the closure of the Medicare’s Part D “doughnut hole.” In 2019, those retirees who fall into the coverage gap should spend less on brand-name prescriptions. Once in the gap, beneficiaries pay 25 percent of prescription drug costs in 2019, down from the scheduled 30 percent. Read article here…
