“Medicare for all” health plan at the cost of $32.6 trillion

According to the recent study by Mercatus Center at George Mason University in Virginia, Sen. Bernie Sanders’ “Medicare for all” plan would increase government health care spending by $32.6 trillion over 10 years. According to another study’s author and a Clinton administration senior health policy adviser, even though people don’t pay premiums, the tax increase are going to be enormous.  The current study estimated that doubling all federal individual and corporate income taxes would not fully cover the additional costs.
