Your Medigap coverage may not always be guaranteed
Like real estate, when it comes to insurance that’s supposed to supplement your Medicare coverage, location is everything. Medigap supplements Medicare parts A and B and depending on plan, offers an array of different benefits. Federal law requires that you get a six-month period from when you first enroll in Medicare to buy a Medigap policy; however, depending on where you live, if you miss this opportunities to purchase “guaranteed issue”, insurers in your state may deny you coverage.
