After-hours telemedicine services reduced avoidable hospitalizations

According to a case study published in the American Journal of Managed Care (AJMC), found one New York skilled nursing facility reduced avoidable hospitalizations significantly by using an after-hours telemedicine service. The total Medicare savings abased on the 91 patients with avoided hospitalizations was estimated at more than $1.55 million in one year. Read article here…
