Support for drug companies to put prices in consumer ads
In a letter of support for the Defense, Labor, Health and Human Services and Education Appropriations Act for 2019, or HR 6157, the America’s Health Insurance Plans supports the requirement for drug companies to put prices in consumer ads. If HR 6157 is passed, the amendment would provide funding to enable the HHS to require disclosure of drug pricing information in direct-to-consumer advertising for prescription drugs.
