Medicare and Medicaid underpaid hospitals by billions in 2017

According to new data from the American Hospital Association (AHA), many hospitals are making significant investments in community programs despite losing nearly $77 billion in Medicare and Medicaid payments in 2017. AHA also reported, Medicare and Medicaid paid out 87 cents for every dollar spent caring for beneficiaries in 2017. Read article here…
