Medicare – no routine dental coverage

Medicare covers approximately 60 million Americans and about 65 percent or 37 million people, do not have dental coverage. Medicare will cover emergency dental care in some cases, but not routine dental care which can have significant health consequences.  Limited or no dental insurance coverage can result in relatively high out-of-pocket costs and for some foregoing oral health care all together.
