PAWS, Act – Puppies Assisting Wounded Servicemembers

With an estimated 20 veterans committing suicide a day, a new bill was introduced into Congress to help reduce this tragic number. PAWS, Act, Puppies Assisting Wounded Servicemembers would require the Department of Veterans Affairs to offer $25,000 vouchers to veterans suffering with PTSD for use at qualifying nonprofits.  The VA only supports service dogs for use in mobility issues, but not in cases that only involve mental health conditions.   Read article here…
