CMS finalized a rule to expand telehealth coverage for Medicare Advantage plans

In an effort to encourage Medicare Advantage plans to widen their telehealth options, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services finalized a rule that will allow Medicare Advantage plans to expand their coverage to specialties, including dermatology, psychiatry, cardiology, ophthalmology, and primary care.  Since early March, the US government has been eliminating telehealth barriers for Medicare enrollees and this move is the latest to ensure that seniors an access specialty care.  Read article here…
