Most people think COVID-19 will raise drug prices and health insurance premiums

According to a new survey, 90 percent of Americans are “very” or “somewhat” worried that COVID-19 will cause high drug prices to go even higher. The survey was conducted by the Gallop Poll and West Health found consumers have a deep-seated suspicion of Big Pharma and expressed concerns that they will leverage the COVID-19 pandemic to raise drug prices. Although health insurance rates have gone down in some cases, the survey found majority of respondents feel that the pandemic will ultimately result in higher health insurance premiums.
