If you have FEHB, should you enroll in Medicare Part D?
Since Medicare Part D is voluntary, individuals with Federal Employee Health Benefits (FEHB) program retiree benefits often wonder whether they should sign up for a Medicare Part D drug plan. But to be eligible to enroll in a standalone Part D drug plan: A beneficiary must live in the plan’s service area, be enrolled in Medicare Parts A and B, and pay a monthly premium for this drug coverage that is set by the plan.
