Medicare patients now can receive hospice, curative treatment at once

People receiving hospice services through Midland Care Connection will have the option of continuing to receive treatments intended to cure them if they wish, under new rules from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. Midland Care is one of three hospice agencies in Kansas and 140 nationwide that are piloting the change for the next five years.
