High-deductible health plans did not make us better healthcare consumers

According to a recent study published in the JAMA Open Network, it found contrary to expectations, there may not be a correlation between deductible costs and member outcomes for commercial high deductible plans. It means, contrary to prior research, high-deductible health plans were supposed to make us better healthcare consumers, but they have failed.  However, according to the researchers, there were four possible explanations for this discrepancy.
