The ABCs of HSAs

Many employees who have health savings accounts don’t understand how they work or how contributions can grow according to the July 2020 Optum Bank and Retirement survey.  In a separate Fidelity Investments survey, it found that only 50 percent of employees with access to health savings accounts use them; yet, 62 percent of HSA users surveyed told Fidelity that accounts help them pay for health care.
