New York’s “batch buy-in” process

New York’s newly streamlined Medicare Savings Program enrollment known as a “batch buy-in” will allow people who are eligible for but not enrolled in Medicare who otherwise qualify for a cost-savings MSP to more easily enroll in both.  Under this program, the state will identify individuals with Medicaid who are eligible for but not enrolled in an MSP, specifically those eligible for the Specified Low-income Medicare Beneficiary (SLMB) and Qualified Medicare Beneficiary (QMB) programs.
