Medicare coverage increases seniors’ access to care
As of 2019, approximately 18 percent of the U.S. population was covered by Medicare. A recent study published in Health Affairs discovered once eligible for Medicare, individuals who experienced access to care were halved and 46 percent fewer seniors avoided care due to healthcare costs.
