Does Lewy Body Dementia lead to Alzheimer’s disease?

What do Lewy body dementia and Alzheimer’s disease have in common?  They are both common types of dementia with changes in the brain that can cause physical, cognitive, and behavioral symptoms. The Alzheimer’s Association states, Lewy body dementia and Alzheimer’s disease can overlap with similar symptoms, but they are different conditions and do not appear to lead to the other.
