Remember when the most popular component of Medicare Advantage plans was the addition of a gym membership? It seems lately that mental fitness has now risen rapidly among popular options chosen by plan participants. It started last year, when plans were allowed to expand their fitness definition to include “wearable fitness trackers, and memory fitness programs.” Now, with one in four plans offering physical fitness options having expanded their definition of this category to include memory fitness, the interest in brain fitness is escalating.
