CMS recognizes homelessness as indicator of resource utilization in proposed rule

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services has proposed a new rule aimed at improving patient safety and care equity for inpatient and long-term care hospitals that would “recognize homelessness as an indicator of increased resource utilization in the acute inpatient hospital setting.” Continue reading here…
