What are Medicare Supplement plans

Medicare is the federal health insurance for people over 65 years of age. Generally, you only need to sign up for Part A and Part B (original Medicare) once. Original Medicare covers most, but there is no yearly limit on what you pay out-of-pocket unless you have supplemental coverage, like a Medicare Supplement Insurance (Medigap) policy, or you join a Medicare Advantage Plan Medicare Advantage Plan (Part C).
