Chronic Care Groups are Against Medicare Cost-Cutting Plan

Over 300 chronic care groups including more than 50 cancer-focused groups are urging Congressional leaders to halt the plans the Obama administration has for reforming payments under Medicare Part B; stating that it would wreak havoc on healthcare delivery, provider stability and patient access.

The administration announced last week its plan to pilot a new payment structure to be introduced later this year to incentivize doctors to prescribe “higher-value” drugs rather than simply the most expensive drugs available. Read article here…..
