Did you receive your Plan Annual Notice of Change?
It is that time of the year again for the deluge of Medicare literature to arrive in your mailbox, but before you throw out everything, look for your Plan Annual Notice of Change, or ANOC for short. Why should you keep this or even read it? The ANOC includes any changes in coverage, costs, and more that will be effective in January.
Even if you are happy with your plan, you need to review your ANOC document because things change, and your plan may not meet your needs.
Remember, Medicare Advantage Plan information will become available on October 1st. The Annual Election Period (AEP) will begin on October 15th through December 7th.
So, when you receive your ANOC, don’t throw it away; read it and seek assistance if you don’t understand the implications of the changes to your healthcare coverage.
