H.R. 3467 Reforming Medicare Advantage

The Medicare Advantage Reform Act, H.R. 3467, would make changes to the Medicare Advantage health plans. The changes would include the use of capitated payments, reducing the blended benchmark, automatic enrollment of each individual entitled to benefits under Part A and enrolled under Part B into the MA plan, and the required inclusion of hospice care into Medicare Advantage plans. “The potential impacts of moving hospice into MA at this time would be “devastating,” according to the National Alliance for Care at Home.” Jim Parker, writing for Hospice News, reports on the possible effects of this legislation.
