AI tool identifies 9 types of dementia: Mayo Clinic

An AI tool developed by Mayo Clinic researchers can identify brain activity patterns linked to nine types of dementia, according to a study published June 27 in Neurology.

The tool, called StateViewer, analyzes and compares fluorodeoxyglucose PET scan imaging to a database of scans from patients with confirmed dementia diagnoses. The tool then identifies patterns associated with nine specific dementia types, including Alzheimer’s disease. Continue reading here…
