Is a Medicare Advantage plan worth it?

Is having no monthly premium worth signing up for Medicare Advantage?  Some experts say no.  According to ATI Advisory, a healthcare consulting firm, “for the most part, Medicare Advantage customers pay almost $3,500 less out of pocket in a year than those with Medigap insurance, but that includes the many healthy people not using significant healthcare.”  Beth Pinsker, writing for MarketWatch, notes that with copays and high out-of-pocket maximums, a zero-premium Medicare Advantage plan could end up being very expensive if you become sick.
