 Government would extend Medicare telehealth coverage 

On October 1st, Medicare’s authority to pay for telehealth care outside of rural health settings expired. This caused providers to cancel appointments or face not being paid for services rendered. Now, the Senate deal to reopen the government would extend Medicare telehealth coverage through January 30th and pay retroactively for telehealth services delivered during the government shutdown.
