Can Smartphones Diagnose Cancer?

Currently there are more than 165,000 smartphone apps on health and wellness available for you to download but some are better than others.

In a recent article in the LA Times, a woman who was concerned about her children getting skin cancer had photographed a mole and used an app which stated it could diagnose cancer within seconds. When the result returned positive the mother took the child to the doctor only to find out the mole was benign; she deleted the app.

There is unlimited promise for smartphones apps in encouraging people to stay healthy but not all of them are beneficial. Read article here….
