Medicare headaches are pushing doctors away

The reason I’m writing this article is to help explain why so many doctors are retiring early, closing their practices or refuse to take Medicare patients. The government has gotten so involved in the business of health care it’s making it nearly impossible for the individual doctor to stay in practice if they are trying to follow all the government’s rules and requirements to continue seeing patients.
I’m sure all of you have had some experience with your doctor where insurance was involved. Either the doctor wouldn’t take it because he wouldn’t be reimbursed or even if he did, he would not be compensated for his time. Here are a couple of examples. Read more…
