Is Colorado the First to Replace Obamacare but With What…?

In November, Coloradans will not only be voting for the president but they will be voting on a ballot measure: Amendment 69, which would create government-run health care plan, aka single payer plan or universal health care.

The Amendment 69 formally known as ColoradoCare would replace Obamacare and would be funded largely by a 10 percent tax on payroll. Employers would pay additional 6.67 percent and employees would pay additional 3.33 percent to bring Colorado’s state income tax (14.63 percent) to the highest in the country surpassing California currently the highest at 13.3 percent; by over a full percentage point.
