How big could the Part D increase actually be in 2027

The Part D Premium Stabilization Demonstration was created by CMS in 2025 to cushion beneficiaries from significant premium increases expected after major structural changes to Medicare Part D under the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA). It applied only to standalone Prescription Drug Plans (PDPs). However, the subsidy will disappear at the end of December.
